ZONE 3

You have entered the Future Space Lab.

Here all boundaries are shape-shifting as you simultaneously traverse the jungle, the forest, the desert, the ocean, the mountain, the cave, the island, and the nowhere. Here is where you experience absolute vertigo and non-belonging (to no longer be at home in the world).

You encounter an angry soul relentlessly building a labyrinth. He strikes the stones and makes them bend into ceaseless walls or corridors. He is The Ironsmith. He is master of the barrier, the escape, and the turn.

The Ironsmith gives you the following clue below.

Read and choose your future wisely afterward.

FUTURE SPACE FRAGMENT

What does it mean to enter a future of controlled dreams? Will these episodes of manipulated sleep still possess the appearance of chaos and spontaneity, or will they feel like ruled worlds hanging in the balance of puppet-masters? What will the future do with our experiences of the unreal: the dream, the nightmare, the daydream, the fantasy, the vision, the memory, the hallucination, the simulation, the shadow, the ghost, the mirror-image, and the mirage?

Example: MIT researchers experiment with dream-intervention and dream-suggestion technologies called “Targeted Dream Incubation”.

CHOOSE FUTURE

You have read the clue of the Future Space Lab.

The Ironsmith wants you to leave, for you are an intruder to his dreams. He offers to build you a spiral staircase or a subterranean mine.

WHICH DO YOU CHOOSE?
