Course Description: 
 
This course discusses mesmerizing inventions in the sectors of medical science, biogenetics, and nanotechnology: from xeno-transplants like artificial eyes, mechanical hands, and self-repairing organs to ongoing viral and genome research in an age of global pandemic. How does science tempt us with the mirage of salvation while running its own dangerous experiments that could lead to the end of worlds (nuclear extinction)? How does this double-dealing curiosity test our material limits to certain points of no return, irreversibility, and even monstrosity?
