Course Description: 

This course analyzes the all-important function of media in a hyper-mediated world of information. What new modes of translation, circulation, and flow are dictating the way we perceive reality? How do these intermediary forces act simultaneously as gateways, tunnels, and barriers to symbolic universes of the future? Does this mean that we are living in increasingly ghostly and ethereal realms, and alongside them ourselves becoming a medium?
